A tax return starts with financial records that are complete and verifiable. Flicc Finance supports businesses with VAT returns, EU sales listings, personal income tax, corporate income tax and corrections. We agree in advance which work we will prepare, review and file.

The relevant returns depend on your legal structure, activities, sales countries and tax position.

Scope of the service

From verifiable accounts to an agreed tax filing process

The division of responsibilities differs by return and engagement. We therefore define preparation, review, approval, potential filing and follow-up in advance.

  • Assessment of relevant business tax returns and the agreed scope
  • Review of financial records, reconciliations and missing information
  • Preparation of VAT, EU sales listing, personal or corporate income tax returns as agreed
  • Discussion of notable items and a draft return when this forms part of the process
  • Filing only when agreed and the required authorisation is in place
  • Monitoring of deadlines included in the engagement
  • Identification of tax points of attention with referral to appropriate advice

Business structure

Which tax returns apply to your business?

Your legal structure helps determine which returns may be relevant and which financial information is required as their basis.

Freelancers and sole proprietors

A VAT return may apply and an EU sales listing may be relevant for certain supplies within the EU. Business profit may form part of the personal income tax return. Being treated as a business for VAT does not automatically mean that you are treated as an entrepreneur for personal income tax.

Partnerships and other collaborative structures

The business may have VAT and EU sales listing obligations, while each partner may also need to deal with personal income tax. The partnership arrangements and legal structure determine which records are required.

Limited companies and holding companies

The legal entity may have VAT and EU sales listing obligations, and a limited company may be subject to corporate income tax. The accounts, annual statements, tax position and return should be consistent with one another.

The returns and schemes that apply depend on your specific situation.

Types of return

Support with periodic and annual business tax returns

For each type of return, we assess the financial basis required and which preparation, review and potential filing is covered by the agreed scope.

VAT return

For businesses with VAT obligations, we review the reconciliation between revenue, costs, invoices, previous returns and any corrections within the agreed scope. We then prepare a draft return. Filing only takes place when this has been expressly agreed.

Dutch VAT return preparation

EU sales listing

An EU sales listing may be required for certain supplies of goods or services to businesses in other EU countries. We compile the relevant transactions from your records and agree the preparation and any filing in advance.

Personal income tax for business owners

For business owners who need to file personal income tax, we collect and review the agreed financial information and reconcile it with the year-end close. The work concerning the draft, approval and filing is specified in the proposal.

Corporate income tax

For an entity subject to corporate income tax, the tax position should reconcile with the accounts and annual statements. We prepare the required calculations and draft return within the confirmed scope and discuss relevant variances.

Supplementary returns and corrections

When a possible error is identified, we first examine the period, cause and reconciliation with the accounts. We then determine which correction may be appropriate and what preparation or filing support is included in the engagement.

Review and supporting tax documentation

A tax return should be traceable to the accounts and available records. We document relevant reconciliations, corrections and explanations to the extent covered by the agreed work.

Preparation

Which information is needed for your tax return?

This general checklist helps with preparation. Not every document is needed for every return; during the intake, we determine which information is relevant to your scope.

Our process

How we prepare your business tax return

The precise process and responsibilities are set out in the proposal. The steps below describe the general approach.

01

Determine obligations and scope

We identify which returns may be relevant and document what Flicc Finance will prepare, review and potentially file.

02

Review records and documents

We assess the completeness of the information provided, review relevant reconciliations and request missing information.

03

Discuss the draft return

We discuss notable items and provide a draft for approval when this forms part of the agreed process.

04

Completion and filing support

If filing has been agreed and the required authorisation is in place, we complete it as agreed. Any subsequent follow-up is also specified in advance.

Outcome

A tax filing process with clear financial support

The aim is a traceable process in which the accounts, draft, approval and any filing are aligned in accordance with the agreed arrangements.

A verifiable financial foundation

The return is prepared using records for which relevant reconciliations and missing information have been assessed.

A clear division of responsibilities

It is clear in advance who provides the data, who reviews the draft and who is responsible for any filing.

Recurring obligations clearly mapped

The returns and deadlines covered by the engagement become part of an agreed process rather than separate tasks.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about business tax returns

Which business tax returns can you handle?

We support businesses with VAT returns, EU sales listings, personal income tax, corporate income tax and possible supplementary returns or corrections. The work we prepare, review and potentially file is specified for each engagement.

Do you actually file the tax return?

That depends on the agreed service. Filing on behalf of the business only takes place when it is included in the engagement and the required consent or authorisation is in place. Otherwise, we prepare the return and support you with completion.

What do I need to provide for my tax return?

The required information differs by return. It may include up-to-date accounts, bank transactions, sales and purchase invoices, previous returns, assessments, year-end information and details about investments or international transactions. During the intake, we prepare the checklist for your situation.

Can I outsource only my personal or corporate income tax return?

We first assess whether a one-off return can be completed appropriately and whether the underlying accounts and year-end close are sufficiently current and verifiable. We then confirm which work is and is not included in the engagement.

Can you correct an incorrect return with a supplementary return?

We can investigate a possible error and reconcile it with the accounts. We then assess which correction may be required and whether preparation or support with a supplementary return fits within the engagement. Not every situation can be corrected in the same way.

How does authorisation for my tax return work?

When a service provider acts on your behalf, appropriate consent or authorisation may be required. During the intake, we agree who prepares and files the return. You remain responsible for carefully reviewing the draft and the information you provide.

What does it cost to outsource a tax return?

There is no fixed price for a standalone return on this page. Pricing depends on the type of return, legal structure, quality of the records, number of entities, international activities, corrections and the required guidance. You receive a proposal for the agreed scope in advance.

Can you help with overdue returns or letters from the Dutch Tax Administration?

We first assess the outstanding periods, available records, deadlines and correspondence received. We then explain which preparation, correction or follow-up we can provide. We cannot confirm in advance that every overdue return or letter can be handled in full.
